Volunteer

Here is your chance to volunteer for a position at this years 10k/5k classic before you are voluntold. Seriously we need to fill these positions so people can start planning on their responsibilities.

Without further ado, the following positions need to be filled:

• 5K Classic coordinator: race day/start/entries
• Marketing director: This person just has to get the necessary information to the people doing the marketing. You do not have to go out and secure marketing, that is already done.-
• Military program coordinator: Making contact with the appropriate persons at the military bases/forts. -
• Volunteer coordinator: Don't forget that I have some very willing volunteers at my disposal as a coach.
• Mile markers and placement – making the mile markers
• Start Line coordinator - Finish Line coordinator

Please respond with what area you can coordinate. Let me know if you think of any other areas Also, we now have a facebook page. If you are a facebooker search for: AK 10K Classic. If anyone has pictures from previous Classics you can post them on the page or email them to me and I will get them on the page.

Finally, the Special Olympics Alaska State Track and Field Games are on June 12,13. You can volunteer to help by going to our Special Olympics Alaska page and filling out the volunteer form. This is a great opportunity to see what our efforts are going towards. I think it would be great to volunteer for some time during those two days. It will help us to remember what we are working towards in our race.
