23rd Alaska 10K Classic Road Race

Entry Fees and Registration
The race entry fee is $25 per entrant. The fee for Healthy Futures youth relay is $15 per entrant.

  • It is highly encouraged that registrants sign up using www.active. com. There will be no additional fee for signing up online. Online registration ends midnight, Wednesday, July 30th.
  • All mail-in entries must be postmarked by Monday, July 28th.
  • Make checks payable to AK 10K Classic
  • Entry forms may be dropped off at Skinny Raven Sports through Wednesday, July 30th.
  • Late registration will be held during bib pick up on July 31, 4-7 p.m. at Platinum Jaxx OR on day of the race prior to 9:30 a.m. at APU. Late registration fee is $30.

Bib and T-Shirt Pick-Up
July 31, 4-7 p.m. at Platinum Jaxx along with free pasta feed OR on day of the race prior to 9:30 a.m.

Parking
In addition to parking available near the start at Alaska Pacific University (APU), there is parking on the nearby University of Alaska (UAA) campus. Carpooling is encouraged to minimize traffic and parking congestion.

Healthy Futures Relay
The relay will consist of two legs. The hand off will occur at Mile 3.1 at the end of Maplewood Drive.

Warm Ups
Warm ups, jackets, or other clothing will be transported from the start to the finish.

Buses
Buses will start returning runners to APU @ 11:00 am leaving from the west end of the Parkstrip. Last bus will leave at approx 1:00 pm.

Military Appreciation Drawing
15 active military participants will be drawn to receive a minimum of Healthy Futures Relay $100 cash after the race.

Non-Registered Runners/Bandits
There will be security to ensure that bandits do not cross the finish line. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Make certain your bib is attached to the front of your shirt or shorts so it can be clearly seen.

Safety
For safety, no pets, bicycles, or roller blades are allowed in the race.

Awards
There will be an awards ceremony & random prize drawings on the Delaney Parkstrip near the race finish starting around 11:30 a.m. Awards will be presented to the top 3 men and women in each 5 year age group.

Results
Results will be printed in the Anchorage Daily News and on the www.10kclassic.com website.
